The services you create double as your digital price list. As soon as you select a service during project calculation, fields like name, description, selling price, and cost price will populate completely automatically.
Where do I create a service?

Click the "New Service" button in the top right corner
How do I fill out the fields during creation?
1. Name & Description
Name: Enter the name of your service here (e.g., Graphic Design, IT Development, or Motion Graphics).
Description: Add a brief note on what this service includes by default.
đĄ Good to know: You can adjust the name and description at any time later. Feel free to use placeholders here at the beginning if needed.
â
2. Service Group / Type
With the Service Group, you can group similar services together. In the overview table, this is displayed as "Type". The different groups are color-coded so you can keep a perfect overview at a glance.
Example: Graphic Design and Art Direction can both belong to the Service Group "Art Direction".
â ď¸ Important: The Service Group is directly linked to your employees' competence fields. OS/ uses this later to control which team members work on this service, ensuring they are correctly factored into the cost forecast.
3. Clients or Business Units
Here you can define whether a service should only be visible for specific clients or business units. You can easily select multiple options. This allows you to effortlessly create customized client or business unit price lists.
â
4. Sale (Unit + Retail Price)
Unit: Choose how the service is billed (e.g., Hours, Pieces, or Flat rate). In the calculation, this field will later be called Unit.
Retail Price: Enter the amount you charge the client per unit. In the calculation, you will find this under Price/Unit.
Toggle Switch (Standard / Locked): By default, the switch is set to Standard. This means project managers can still manually adjust the price in the calculation if needed. If you set the switch to Locked, the price is fixed and cannot be overwritten within the project.
5. Service Costs (Unit + Unit Cost + Source)
Here you define your internal or purchasing cost to deliver this service:
Unit: Works exactly the same as in the sale section (displayed as Unit in the calculation).
Unit Cost: Enter your cost per unit (displayed as Cost/Unit in the calculation).
Source: Who is delivering the service? Choose between Employee, Freelancer, or Supplier.
đĄ Just like with the sale price, there is a toggle switch (Standard/Locked) for service costs, allowing you to decide whether purchase and freelancer prices can be modified within the project or not.
â
6. Active Toggle
On the far right of the list, you will find the active toggle. If you temporarily or permanently no longer want to offer a service, simply click the toggle so it turns "Grey". The service is then inactive and can no longer be accidentally selected in new calculations.
